The Federal Highway Police seized 6.3 tonnes of cannabis and four 7.62
rifles hidden in a sorghum-seed load on BR-163 in Naviraí on the morning of
30 September 2026.[1]
The white Mercedes-Benz truck with Maringá plates, travelling from Ponta
Porã (MS) to Santos (SP), was stopped around 10:30 AM at km 130; a detailed
search found bales of cannabis mixed with the seeds, weighing 6,320 kg,
then four rifles of probable foreign origin.[1] The driver was arrested
in the act and taken with the truck, drugs and weapons to the Federal
