Police raided a house in Ward-2 of Nalagarh in Solan and registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the house owner, Jaswinder Kumar, before starting an investigation.[1] Superintendent of Police Vinod Dhiman confirmed the case and said police are investigating it thoroughly.[1] Police said they are now investigating who else, along with the accused, was involved in the illegal trade.[1]
Officers seized 314 grams of charas during the raid on the house and took the narcotic into custody.[1] The charas was found in a cupboard as nine sticks, 21 small balls and eight flat cakes.[1] Police also recovered from the spot a weighing scale allegedly used in the illegal trade.[1] All the recovered items were taken into custody and a case against the accused was registered at Nalagarh police station.[1]
Police searched Jaswinder Kumar’s house on the basis of secret information.[1] The combined weight of the three forms of charas recovered was found to be 314 grams.[1] After taking possession of the narcotic, police registered the case and began the investigation.[1]
