Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested six people in
three security operations in Medina, Riyadh and Jeddah governorate for promoting
narcotics, stimulant tablets and tablets subject to medical controls.[1]In
Jeddah, officers arrested three citizens accused of promoting hashish and other
tablets.[1]In Riyadh, officers arrested one citizen accused of promoting
amphetamine and tablets subject to medical controls.[1]In Medina, officers
arrested two Pakistani residents accused of promoting methamphetamine, known
locally as shabu.[1]All those arrested were detained, processed under the
regulations and referred to the Public Prosecution.[1]
The Jeddah seizure included 11 kilograms of hashish, the cannabis component
recorded here.[2]The same Jeddah seizure also included 1,037 amphetamine
tablets plus additional medical-control tablets whose number was not published.[1]The Riyadh seizure comprised 7,093 amphetamine tablets and 14,774 tablets
subject to medical controls.[2]No quantity was published for the shabu in the
Medina cases, with the security announcement limited to naming the drug type.[2]
The authorities urged the public to report smugglers and promoters via 995, via
911 in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, via 999 elsewhere, and by
email, with strict confidentiality.[1]A second roundup account places these
three operations within a wider day of additional announced security operations
in other regions involving qat and other seizures left out here.[2]

The articles give no separate date for the operations; 31 October 2026 is their publication date and is used as the incident date.
No names, ages or further identifiers for the six were published.
No quantity was published for the Medina shabu or for the additional medical-control tablets in Jeddah, so no further cannabis quantity can be recorded.
Amphetamine, medical-control tablets, shabu and qat amounts are non-cannabis and are excluded from cannabis figures, as are combined tablet and weight totals for the wider day.
The second outlet presents the three operations as part of a wider day of additional Border Guard and highway-police operations involving qat in Jazan and Asir and other regions; those separate seizures are left out here.
Coordinates are for Riyadh as a central reference for the three-region roundup, not the exact seizure spots.
Both outlets appear to reproduce the same directorate announcement; no separate agency statement could be opened.

Saudi anti-narcotics officers arrested four people in the Eastern Province, including three Ethiopian border violators and a Saudi citizen, seizing 1.1 kg of hashish. The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution, while a separate Riyadh methamphetamine case in the same announcement is excluded from cannabis figures.
Saudi security agencies detained 71 suspects and seized 164 kg of hashish alongside khat, heroin, methamphetamine and pills in operations across six regions announced on 2 November 2026. Border guards accounted for the hashish and most arrests, with smaller anti-narcotics cases in Al-Jawf, Jazan and Qassim.
Mujahideen patrols in Saudi Arabia's Jazan region arrested an Ethiopian border-security violator accused of promoting hashish. He was detained for statutory procedures and referred to the competent authority.
Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested eight citizens in two operations: six in Qassim accused of promoting hashish and amphetamine, and two in Hail accused of possessing and promoting 2.5 kg of hashish and tablets subject to medical-sale controls. All were detained and referred to the Public Prosecution; no names or court dates were reported.
