Two people charged with trafficking cannabis worth Sh10 million appeared before a Mariakani court, pleading not guilty.[1] Paul Ogolla Ogutu, alias Ogola, and Emmanuel Ndoro Chaka, alias Ndoro, appeared before Resident Magistrate Jamlick Muriithi Mwenda.[1]

Per the prosecution, ANU officers intercepted the white FAW JH8 lorry, registration KDL 220P, towing trailer ZE 6680 with container MSMU 6177520, in Mariakani, Kaloleni Sub-County, on 19 June 2026, recovering nine sacks of dry plant material later confirmed at 333.35 kg valued at Sh10,000,500.[1] The lorry belonged to Sayusa Company; Ndoro drove while Ogutu rode as passenger.[1] Exhibits were photographed and sent to the Government Chemist for analysis, sampling and weighing.[1]

Prosecutor Martin Mbote opposed bail and sought a pre-bail report, arguing both men live near the Kenya-Tanzania border and inquiries including forensic and cyber analysis were ongoing.[1] The court set 2 July for pre-bail report and pre-trial directions.[1]
