Patrol officers stopped a Subaru Forester on a Kyiv street during curfew for a
check.[1] During the check officers found the 33-year-old passenger with
suspicious packages in her bag and called the Holosiivskyi investigative team to
the scene.[1] Officers seized 11 postal parcels from the woman, with numerous
packets of powdery and crystalline substances and plant-origin material hidden
among clothing inside them.[1]
Forensic examination confirmed the seized items included the especially
dangerous psychotropic PVP, amphetamine and cannabis, which investigators say
she stored for further sale.[2] Investigators detained her under Article 208
of Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code and, under Holosiivskyi district
prosecutors, notified her of suspicion under Article 307 Part 3 for obtaining,
storing and transporting an especially dangerous psychotropic in an especially
large amount for sale and a narcotic drug for sale.[1] At the investigators’
request, a court ordered custody as the preventive measure.[1] The pretrial
investigation is now complete and the indictment has been sent to court, which
will decide guilt.[3] If convicted, she faces up to 12 years in prison with
confiscation of property.[2]

No separate weight, plant count or value was published for the cannabis, and no combined total can be separated into cannabis, so no cannabis quantity is recorded
PVP and amphetamine are mentioned only to explain the mixed seizure and their amounts are excluded from cannabis figures
The reports give only the publication date of 3 November 2026 and no separate date for the curfew stop or detention, so that date is used as the incident date
The woman's full name was not published, only that she is a 33-year-old Kyiv resident
No trial outcome was reported; the indictment was just sent to court, which will decide guilt

Police in Kharkiv Oblast have notified a 60-year-old man that he is suspected of illegally growing cannabis after officers seized more than 30 plants from his household plot in September 2026. Ukraine’s Supreme Court overturned a 17,000-hryvnia cannabis conviction and closed the case after ruling police exceeded a phone-only search warrant. The court found the 11.6 grams of cannabis and related expert evidence inadmissible as the product of a “blind search”.
