In Kano State, NDLEA operatives arrested 30-year-old Murtala Lawan in the Gerawa area on Thursday 22 October.[1][2] The operation recovered 159 blocks of cannabis weighing 97.2 kg.[1][2] The arrest was one of a string of NDLEA operations across nine states announced by spokesman Femi Babafemi on Sunday 25 October, whose chairman commended the officers and urged them to sustain the campaign alongside school and community sensitisation.[1][2]
