A special NDPS court in Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh, sentenced three men to 12 years
of rigorous imprisonment each in a ganja trafficking case.[1] The three were
Sanwariya Verma, Hokam Singh Sondhiya and Kumer Singh.[2] The court fined each
of them ₹1 lakh.[1] Each would serve an additional year of rigorous
imprisonment if the fine was not paid.[1]
The case concerned 101.070 kg of ganja that police found hidden in a secret
space in the roof of truck RJ 17 GC 9591, packed in four sacks.[1] It was
registered at Chilphi police station as Crime No. 21/2025 under section

Then station house officer Umashankar Rathore investigated the case, collecting

after finding the charges proved on the prosecution’s evidence.[1] Police said
the conviction followed their action against drug trafficking and strong
