South Giza criminal court sentenced a hashish trafficker to five years in prison after convicting him of dealing in cannabis resin in the Manshiyat al-Qanatir area of Giza governorate.[1][2]

Security forces had stopped the man on a local road and found four large pieces of hashish on him, suspecting he was supplying the illicit market.[1][2] They took legal action, recorded the seizure, and the public prosecution investigated and examined the drugs before referring him to the criminal court, which handed down the five-year term.[1][2] The opened accounts do not name him or report any co-defendants.[1][2]
