The court in Turnhout sentenced 43-year-old E.M. from Geel to nine months in prison, suspended, for repeated drug possession.[1] The court ordered him to enter guidance and to look for work.[1] E.M. had already accumulated 36 convictions in the past.[1]
On 15 May 2025 Geel-Laakdal-Meerhout police held a nuisance control in Geel’s Stadspark, where E.M. ignored an order to stop on his scooter and then fell over uneven ground and injured his knee.[1] Police saw him hide something in the bushes, where they found a tobacco pouch holding 9 grams of cannabis, 4.5 grams of hashish and 0.75 grams of cocaine.[1] About a month later he told investigators the drugs were not his, while saying he smoked two joints a day to be able to sleep.[1] On 4 July 2025 police saw E.M. among nine suspicious people in the Stadspark and found him with a bag containing 2.5 grams of cannabis he had just bought.[1]
On 31 October 2025 E.M. fell off his scooter again while trying to escape another police control.[1] That check found him with 5 grams of cocaine and an imitation firearm, which he said he carried only to show off.[1] The man had been caught three times in possession of cannabis and cocaine.[1]
