On Thursday 9 July 2026 the North Holland drugs team of the police entered business premises on Dolfijn in Enkhuizen and dismantled a cannabis grow.[1][2] The police published the account the next day and named Enkhuizen.[1] The AD published the same account that afternoon.[2]

Tips through Meld Misdaad Anoniem had reported suspicious situations at the premises, and the police had started an investigation from those tips.[1][2] On 9 July the drugs team went inside.[1] They found a grow with more than 280 plants.[1][2] The police wording is “ruim 280 planten”, more than 280, and the AD uses the same figure.[1][2]

No suspect had been arrested.[1][2] The grow had been dismantled. The plants and the growing materials are to be destroyed.[1][2] Both accounts say the investigation is still open.[1][2] Neither names a person, a company or a building number on the street.[1][2]

The photograph the AD ran with the report, credited to the police, shows a room of cannabis plants under lamps and fans, with plastic sheeting on the walls.[2] The image on the police news page itself is a stock photograph of a grow and is not listed.[1]
