The District Court in Domažlice sent 43-year-old Miroslav H. to prison for four years for distributing pervitin and marijuana in Domažlice and the surrounding area, where so-called mushrooms and ecstasy were also found on him.[1] Miroslav H. had been convicted four times before and had served prison terms including for drug distribution.[1] From March to August 2025, while conditionally released from prison, he sold drugs in Domažlice and elsewhere in the district, mainly pervitin, the Czech name for methamphetamine, and sometimes marijuana.[1] Eleven buyers bought drugs from him under the verdict, in some cases up to twenty times and in other cases only a few times, sometimes receiving drugs as gifts or exchanging them for items such as a pump he never received.[1] A smaller stock of drugs was also found on him during a house search.[1] In pre-trial proceedings he confessed to everything and sought a guilt-and-punishment agreement that was never concluded, but at trial he denied guilt and refused to testify until the final hearing when he admitted selling drugs to someone.[1]
The court punished him with a four-year unconditional term to be served in a guarded prison, and ordered forfeiture to the state of all drugs found on him and CZK 27,000 found by police.[1]
He appealed to the Regional Court in Plzeň, which annulled the lower court’s judgment and returned the case for retrial because an important witness who had been abroad during the main hearings must be heard.[1] His lawyer Vladimír Volný said one ground of appeal was the failure to examine witness Petr K., and the defence seeks a suspended sentence instead of prison.[1] The defence aim is for Miroslav H. to avoid lengthy imprisonment with a suspended sentence.[1] The earlier account of the first-instance verdict said the judgment was not final and that the judge concluded at least one and possibly two witnesses had clearly lied, leaving possible perjury proceedings open.[2]
