Guinea's gendarmes seize 1,725 kg of cannabis in a minibus
The gendarmerie's research brigade in Kindia intercepted a minibus on the road from Bambaya carrying 1,725 kg of cannabis; the driver abandoned it and was arrested four days later. The operation was part of an anti-drug campaign launched by the prosecutor general at the Conakry court of appeal, and the Kindia prosecutor was informed.
Guinea defence challenges cannabis charges against eleven young men
Eleven young men appeared in Dixinn after cannabis arrests in Ratoma; prosecutors sought prison for some and acquittal for four. Their lawyer challenged the possession evidence and the requested fines, arguing that the law linked fines to the value of drugs seized.
