Joel Williams, 23, of Ottley Hall, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the CANNASVG farm in Georgetown after police answered an intrusion report at around 12:10 am on 17 October 2026.[1] Two masked, armed men had entered the property, police said; Williams was lying on the ground when officers arrived and was later declared dead by a district medical officer.[1] A post-mortem is to establish the cause of death.[1]

A second suspect escaped unidentified, and police have not said who shot Williams or whether anyone linked to the facility is a suspect; no arrests have been made, and both the shooting and the break-in remain under investigation.[1]

Williams had a record of gun and robbery cases: convicted in January 2023 of unlicensed pistol possession, charged in late 2023 over armed robberies and a kidnapping at Campden Park, and arrested in February 2026 with Kyle Providence for the killing of Carl Quow, as well as the attempted murder of Jolani Thompson.[1]
