On Thursday 19 March 2026, Zurich cantonal police arrested three men after a raid on an indoor cannabis grow in Spreitenbach, in the canton of Aargau.[1] A tip that a property there held such a grow had sent investigators to the town.[1]

They watched a man leave the building and drive away.[1] A check of the 36-year-old German found signs of marijuana and about 30,000 euros in cash, and they arrested him.[1] About an hour later two more men went into the same building.[1] Police arrested them as well: a 26-year-old from Kosovo and a 29-year-old from Albania, on suspicion of breaking the narcotics law and of immigration offences.[1]

Inside the grow, and in three further house searches in the canton of Zurich, police seized about 24,000 prohibited cannabis plants and about a tonne of cannabis products containing THC.[1] They also seized several firearms, ammunition, a ballistic vest and about 11,000 Swiss francs.[1] The three men were handed to the Zurich public prosecutor.[1] Aargau cantonal police assisted in Spreitenbach, and the Zurich Forensic Institute assisted with the evidence.[1]

SRF reported the same raid the same evening, from the police release.[2] It said the three men would now have to answer to the justice authorities.[2]
