Armed police arrested three people with 110 kg of ganja in Siraha: those arrested are 43-year-old Mishrilal Saday and 31-year-old Maniklal Saday of Aurahi rural municipality-2 and 33-year-old Shyamsundar Yadav of Dhangadhimai municipality-5.[1]

According to the Armed Police, the ganja in six sacks was recovered while they were carrying it on their heads; three mobile phones were also recovered from them, Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Battalion headquarters Siraha chief SP Sumanjung Thapa informed.[1]

Investigators found smugglers buying ganja from various places in districts including Udayapur and Sindhuli and trafficking it toward India through Siraha’s Balan, Kamala, Gagan and Ghurmi rivers and border areas.[1] SP Thapa said the Armed Police had stepped up surveillance to control drug smuggling toward India through Siraha’s rivers and border zones.[1]
