A police operation against drug trafficking ended with four people detained, the Spanish-language outlet Qué Pasa reported.[1] The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said its Narcotics/Vice Suppression Unit served a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Saunders Street in Raeford, North Carolina, on 29 October 2026.[2] The warrant was served without incident by the unit, the sheriff’s emergency response team and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.[2] The sheriff’s office said the search followed a long-term investigation into illegal substances sold from the house, where residents were possibly selling fentanyl and the house was possibly being used to sell alcohol illegally.[2]
Christopher Bratcher, Shashana Clegg, Michael Belton and Timothy Hobson were arrested and taken to the Hoke County Detention Center.[2] A juvenile found in the home was turned over to a grandmother before the search began.[2] Travis Sentell Bratcher, named as a primary suspect, was not at the property when the warrant was served.[2] The sheriff’s office also obtained arrest warrants for him.[2] Inside, detectives found 15 grams of marijuana laced with suspected methamphetamine.[2] Christopher Bratcher was carrying 15 dosage units of suspected crack cocaine.[2] Detectives found 10 more dosage units of crack cocaine prepackaged for sale inside the home.[2] They also seized three handguns, three shotguns, a bulletproof vest, digital scales, baggies and marijuana paraphernalia.[2]
Bratcher and Clegg were charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine.[2] Both also faced a marijuana-paraphernalia charge.[2] Belton and Hobson were charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, conspiracy and drug paraphernalia.[2] Bratcher and Clegg were held on $50,000 secured bonds, and Belton and Hobson on $15,000 each.[2] The sheriff’s office said the investigation was continuing and that all the accused are innocent until proven guilty.[2]
