Saudi Arabia executed two Somali nationals in Najran on 11 May 2025.[1][2] The interior ministry said Ali Abdulrahman Mursal Adam and Ahmed Mohammed Mahmoud Mohammed smuggled hashish into the kingdom, were convicted after investigation and appeal, and were put to death once the Supreme Court upheld the sentences.[1][2]

Ministry warning

Both republished statements said the discretionary death sentences were carried out after royal approval and warned that anyone who smuggles or deals drugs would face the same legal consequences.[1][2] The opened sources do not give the quantity of hashish or the men’s ages.[1][2]
