Moroccan security services seized 4.1 tonnes of hashish, four inflatable boats and four marine engines in an operation at a farm near Fez in the early hours of 10 October 2026.[1][2] The Fez regional judicial police brigade, working with the DGST domestic intelligence service, arrested the main female suspect at the rural property and found a truck loaded with four tonnes and 100 kilograms of hashish; the boats and engines are suspected of having been prepared for maritime smuggling.[1][2]
Two further suspects were arrested afterwards, bringing the detained total to three.[1][2] A database check showed the main suspect was already wanted nationwide in another drug and psychotropics case.[1][2] All three are in custody under a judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor, which is now tracing the networkβs wider domestic and international links.[1][2]
