Between 3 and 5 March 2026, Selangor narcotics officers arrested four foreign nationals and seized
116.3 kg of cannabis buds in three linked raids.[1][2] The first stop was at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport on 3 March, where a man was held with 27.2 kg in a suitcase.[1][2]
The next day police detained another man at Kota Warisan, Sepang, with 14.3 kg, and on 5 March
arrested two more people at a Mont Kiara condominium with 74.8 kg in five suitcases.[1][2]
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the buds were believed to come from a neighbouring
country for transit to foreign markets, with a total value of RM9.35 million.[1][2]
All four entered Malaysia on social visit passes between late December 2025 and mid-February 2026.[1]
They were remanded under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a mandatory death
penalty or life imprisonment for trafficking.[1] Officers also seized cars, watches and
cryptocurrency holdings.[1]
