Nepal’s Narcotics Control Bureau arrested two Indian nationals carrying six kilograms of ganja at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.[1] The arrested pair were identified as 46-year-old Sunita Devi of Ghaziabad and 35-year-old Mohammad Santosh Nadaf of Madhubani.[1] The bureau said both had flown from Thailand and brought the ganja by air into Nepal.[1]

Officers detained the pair during screening at the airport.[1] A search of their belongings recovered six kilograms of ganja.[1] Officers also seized two passports and four mobile phones from them.[1]

The Narcotics Control Bureau disclosed the case at a news conference on Wednesday.[1] Its co-spokesperson, DSP Jeevan Niraula, said the two Indian nationals who had come from Thailand were arrested during the airport check.[1] The bureau took the recovered drugs and other items into custody, was questioning both suspects, and said further investigation was continuing.[1]
