Gurugram Crime Branch’s Sector-17 team arrested an alleged charas supplier from Chandigarh.[1] The accused was identified as Vedram alias Vedu, a resident of Chauki village in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.[1] The same case includes the 31 October arrest of Sohna residents Ankit Jain and Tapan Parashar, who were caught with 203.71 grams of charas.[1] Police said the two men told interrogators during questioning that they had purchased the charas in Himachal Pradesh.[1] They said they had brought the consignment to Gurugram intending to sell it there.[1]

Police valued the 203.71 grams of charas recovered from the two men’s possession at 100,000 rupees.[1] Investigators said further questioning established that Vedram had planted ganja plants in his own village.[1] Police said he prepared narcotics from those plants and supplied them onward.[1] Police added that a separate case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was already registered against Vedram in Chandigarh.[1]
