🇹🇩 Chad

On 25 November 2025 Chad’s national police burned seized goods in the 7th district of N’Djamena: 32 kg of cannabis herb, 34 balls of cannabis and 200 kg of psychotropic substances, beside 7.5 tonnes of adulterated alcohol.[1]

The deputy prosecutor present said the destruction complied with Law 22/PR/95 on drug control — the 1995 statute whose relationship with the better-documented 2000 pharmacy law remains unverified.[1] The burn is the system’s public face: seizures destroyed in the open, under a law the profile can name but not fully reconcile.

The quantities were modest by regional standards — Chad reported only 400 kg of herbal cannabis seized in all of 2024 — but the ritual matters: confiscation and destruction are the enforcement the statutes describe most clearly.
