Officers from the drug-control department of the Bobruisk city executive committee’s interior directorate, working with operatives from the Mogilev Region interior directorate and OMON riot police, detained a 32-year-old Bobruisk resident, the Belarusian Interior Ministry said.[1] The ministry said the man had worked as a wholesale and retail courier for an online drug shop and had packaged its goods with specialised equipment for further distribution.[2] It called him a “broad-profile” zakladchik, a courier who leaves drugs in caches for buyers.[1] Investigators opened a criminal case over illegal drug trafficking with intent to sell, and the man faces up to 15 years in prison.[2]

Police found and seized 2,000 LSD stamps and more than 600 g of hashish and marijuana, the ministry said.[3] The drugs were found on him, at his home and in caches in Bobruisk, Minsk, Gomel and Zhlobin.[4] The ministry said his drug business had lasted about a month.[2]
