Preston Crown Court sentenced 20-year-old Jaydon Morgan and 43-year-old Simon
Morgan, both of Greengate Street in Barrow.[1][2]The case followed an
investigation by Cumbria Police’s Westmorland and Furness Community Serious and
Organised Crime team.[1][2]Jaydon Morgan was jailed for three years and four
months after admitting being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B
drugs and possession of a Class B drug.[1][2]Simon Morgan was jailed for four
years and six months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.[1][2]
Officers executed a warrant at their home address on February 11 2026.[1][2]During the searches officers recovered Class A and Class B drugs later confirmed
as cocaine and cannabis, along with about £3,280 in cash.[1][2]A drugs expert
estimated that the seized substances had a street value of approximately £6,755.[1][2]Officers also seized two mobile phones belonging to the men.[1][2]
The Westmorland and Furness serious and organised crime unit said the sentences
reflected the seriousness of the offences and that proactive police work had
uncovered evidence of the men’s involvement in supplying illegal drugs.[1]The
case forms part of Operation Alliance, Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response
to serious and organised crime involving warrants and drug seizures across the
county in recent months.[1]
The pair were sentenced on Tuesday, November 3.[2]
No separate sentencing date was published; 4 November 2026 is the article publication date and is used as the incident date.
No separate cannabis weight or cannabis-only value was published; the approximately £6,755 valuation covers all seized substances together and is excluded from cannabis figures.
About £3,280 in cash and two mobile phones are mentioned only to explain the same search and are excluded from cannabis figures.
Simon Morgan's stated conviction is for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, while the cannabis component rests on Jaydon Morgan's admitted Class B supply and possession offences and the joint seizure.
No separate arrest date or custody details were published beyond the 11 February 2026 warrant and the later Crown Court sentences.
Only one accessible source for this event was found after searching; no agency statement or second outlet account could be opened.
