After residents complained of cannabis odour, noise and health effects from a heavily air-conditioned warehouse in Bang Bon, the Narcotics Suppression Bureau searched the site with Food and Drug Administration and traditional-medicine officials.[1][2] At about 10:00 on Tuesday 26 May 2026 officers entered the building and arrested four Vietnamese nationals inside.[1][2]

The search found 442 kilogrammes of cannabis flowers, 20 kilogrammes of hash, 2 kilogrammes of rosin chip, 2.5 kilogrammes of wax-type rosin and 8.7 kilogrammes of powdered cannabis, which the NSB valued at more than 3.195 million baht.[1] No licence covered cultivation, processing or sale at the premises.[1][2]

NSB commissioner Pol Lt Gen Archayon Kraithong said the group had run the site for about three months, buying flowers from farms and processing products for buyers in Thailand and abroad.[1] Thai PBS reported investigators’ view that extracts were destined partly for Europe via parcel post and couriers, with some sold to tourists and entertainment venues locally.[2]

The four were charged with jointly producing Category 5 cannabis extracts without permission for commercial distribution, participating in a transnational criminal organisation and processing controlled herbs for trade without authorisation.[1][2]
